Mahathir is great. Yes indeed by ruling Malaysia for 22 years. The accomplishments speak for itselves.
Yet Mahathir successful career is shadowed by Anwar downgrading Mahathir legacy.
UMNO and BN put bet on Najib the one that WZWH consider the right leader to be greater than Mahathir by KO Anwar in next GE.
Najib can change and brings change although he is the son of revered Tun Razak, schooling many years in England yet there are people still thinking Najib is STUPID!
Judging by what Najib done so far and at the last UMNO AGM, he is prepared to lead BN into war in GE 13.
Anwar is no longer relevent to lead this nation. Even some was struggling to promote Ku Li as an alternative PM instead should PR dominates the GE 13 election.Take that Anwar issue away for a while and see if PR can actually win the election after all.
In 2008 election BN for the first time lost its first 2/3 majority due to an overwhelming PKR winning 31 parliamentary seats from merely 1 seat in 2004 and MCA lost many seats due to their leadership issues. In fact, PKR was the best amongst its PR partners with PAS 23 and DAP 29 seats.BN has taken the 2008 election for granted putting wrong candidates and has underestimated the internets as propaganda tool used widely by opposition citing corruptions and cronyism ad issues. Some are proven but many are difficult to prove and mere rhetorics.
Anwar secured the voters sympaties for what was believed to be an unfair imprisonment for him and voters believed he could lead the nation. NO, he made too many personal and political blunders that saw many of PKR top leaders deserted and left him and the party and most were fiercely questioning his credibility , integrity and sincerity and even his loyalty to Malaysia by him putting Malaysia in bad lights overseas in his attempt to unseat a democratically elected government.
Surely Anwar is now out of favour from the members within PKR and even from the PR coalition partners especially from PAS splinters such as Hasan Ali , Zulkifli Nordin, Zahrin and many many more except DAP leaders. LGE insist that he will be the next PM from PR. PR does not have credible leaders.
Anwar realistically has lost many support from Malay voters nationwide even from his own constituency. In Sabah and Sarawak PKR has no place.Lajim and Wilfred were shortchanged ( by Anwar ) and form new party. In short PKR will lose many seats even more than half of that of 2008.
PR will not be able to secure the minimum 50% seats from the 222 seats offered. The Arab Spring like street rallies did not work to move the masses. Most right thinking Malaysisns are TIRED of Anwar and in fact PKR and Anwar will be the major contributors for PR failing to secure Putrajaya.
Chinese voters may be behind DAP instead of MCA but they will have to think hard and be prepared to loose its bargaining power because BN shall ultimately prevail judging from current Najib rakyat didahulukan and the TRANSFORMATIONS efforts are beginning to see results. Najib is a transformer. The nation does not need change and uncertainties as the PR coalition lack direction and even UNITY. Many unanswered questions within the PR coalition and they are so DISORGANISED.
To Anwar this will be your final opportunity before you are banished politically to even see you through in GE 14. Best wishes to you but you and the PR are NOT good enough to lead.
Numbers will speak whether Najib will be greater than Mahathir by KO Anwar in GE 13.
